FIRE BREAKS OUT IN TRAIN AT PURI RAILWAY STATION

Puri(14/11/2023): A fire broke out in a train at Puri railway station on Tuesday. The train was parked at the coaching depot when the mishap took place. One boggy was reportedly gutted in the mishap. The train was brought to the coaching depot for cleaning related works. The fire was reported in the washing line and a massive operation was launched by the fire services personnel to douse the flames. Immediately, other coaches were detached to prevent the fire from spreading to other coaches of the train. It is suspected that the fire might have been caused due to a short circuit in the battery-related compartment.
