HEAVY RAIN LASHES SEVERAL PARTS OF ODISHA

Bhubaneswar(18/08/2023): Several parts of Odisha are experiencing heavy rainfall since Thursday under the influence of an active low pressure area formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height," informed by the India Meteorological Department.
