WATER LEVEL OF BAITARANI RIVER ON THE RISE

Balasore/Bhubaneswar (19/08/2023): The water level of Baitarani river is on the rise following heavy rain in the upper catchments. Currently, the river flows at 17.88 m against the danger mark of 17.83 m at Akhuapada in Balasore district. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that rain activities will decrease in Odisha from today with the active low pressure area slowly moving towards Chhattisgarh. There is no chance of heavy rainfall in the state for the next four to five days.
