LAKHS OF DEVOTEES THRONG PURI TO WITNESS DIVINE BATH OF LORD JAGANNATH

Puri(04/06/2023): Lakhs of devotees thronged the pilgrim town of Puri to witness the divine bath of Lord Jagannath and his siblings-Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra- on the occasion of Deva Snana Purnima today. After the pahandi ritual began at 5 am, Chaturdhamurti-Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Shree Sudarshan-were taken to the Snana Mandap one after another. The deities will be accorded a bath with 108 pots of ritually purified water by a group of servitors. After the holy bath, the devotees will witness the Hati Besha of the deities.
