Odisha Literary Delegates Shine Bright at 17th ABSP National Convention in Rewa
The literary firmament of Odisha shone brightly on the national stage as a strong contingent of around 90 members from the Akhil Bhartiya Sahitya Parishad (ABSP), Odisha Pranta, actively participated in the 17th National Session of Akhil Bhartiya Sahitya Parishad held from 7 November to 9 November, 2025, in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. The three-day gathering, hosted at the Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium, was a grand confluence of over 1,200 literary figures from across the country, and was inaugurated by former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind. The National Session focused on the theme 'Self-Realization to World-Realization' (Atmabodha Se Vishwa Bodh), with discussions covering Indian knowledge systems, historical perspectives, and contemporary societal challenges.
The impressive delegation from Odisha, which included participants from all 30 districts of the state, was instrumental for highlighting Odisha's commitment to the ABSP's national agenda of promoting Indian languages and literature based on native values.
The Khordha District's delegation was spearheaded by Dr. Pramodini Jena, State Executive Member of ABSP and District Head of Khordha, who led the charge and effectively represented the nuances of Odia literature, culture, and traditions throughout the convention's intensive sessions and dialogues.
The literary march from Odisha was further strengthened by the presence of other important figures, including Shri Ram Krushna Tripathy, ABSP Odisha Pranta Head, Dr. Abhay Kumar Naik, State President of ABSP Odisha & Shri Narayana Nayak, Coordinator of ABSP, Odisha.
The delegation also included Shri Suvendu Kumar Routray, Advocate and President of Nimapada Sahitya Sansad, along with notable literary persons from the Khordha delegation like Shri Nilambara Das, Shri Bhramarbara Sahu, Shri Chinamaya Bode, and Shri Prakash. Their collective participation ensured that the spirit and voice of Odia literature resonated profoundly among the diverse national assembly.
