PM Modi distributes more than 65 lakh property cards under SVAMITVA scheme

New Delhi (18/01/2025): Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 65 lakh property cards under SVAMITVA scheme to property owners in over 50,000 villages in more than 230 districts across ten States and two Union Territories on Saturday through video video conferencing. The Prime Minister said, "Five years ago the SVAMITVA scheme was started so that the villagers could be given legal proof of their houses.

The names are different in different states, but these are the certificates of SVAMITVA." In the last 5 years, these SVAMITVA cards have been given to about 1.5 crore people.

Now today, in this program, more than 65 lakh families have received these SVAMITVA cards.

That is, under the ownership scheme, about 2.25 crore people of the villages have received a permanent legal document of their houses, the PM stated.
