Preparatory Meeting Held to Celebrate Foundation Day and Van Mahotsav at Anchalika High School, Saun
Balasore, 22/6 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A preparatory meeting was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. to plan the upcoming Foundation Day celebration and Van Mahotsav at Anchalika High School, Saun, located in Genguti Panchayat under Balasore Sadar block.
The school, a leading educational institution in the region, is set to observe its Foundation Day on July 7, 2025, for the first time in five decades. The event is being organized by the school’s alumni association, Puratan Bidyarthi Parisad, Anchalika High School, Saun.

The meeting was attended by Headmaster Dronacharya Pattaayat, Council President Jaladhar Samal, Secretary Sudhakar Sethi, Advisor Birupakshya Mahapatra, and executive members Anil Ranjan Jena and Bhavesh Kumar Mohanty. Detailed discussions were held to ensure the success of the upcoming celebration.
As a prelude to the event, a speech and painting competition will be held on June 28 for current students. On the Foundation Day, saplings will be distributed among the students, and a tree plantation drive will be undertaken with the participation of distinguished guests.
Under the council's "Ropan" campaign, the association has set an ambitious target of planting 50,000 trees in the near future. This green mission was highlighted by council advisor and former Sarpanch Birupakshya Mahapatra, who emphasized the importance of environmental consciousness in shaping the future.
