Medicine stores raided in Bhubaneswar

The Odisha Drugs Control Department on Monday conducted raids on several medicine stores at Nayapalli area in Bhubaneswar.
The raids were carried out after receiving complaints regarding illegal sale of abortion kits without prescriptions.
The complaints were received from NGOs alleging that abortion kits were sold at different places, including Nayapalli and Patia areas to school and colleges students without prescriptions.
The Drugs Control Department verified medicine stocks and documents at the stores.
The officials warned that the licenses of shops selling these drugs may be suspended if found guilty after investigation.
