Puri Gajapati Maharaja demands immediate cancellation of ISKCON's Ratha Yatra
Puri(05/11/2024): Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb expressed concern that ISKCON's Ratha Yatra, scheduled for July 9, deviates from Jagannath culture and tradition.
In a press meet on Tuesday, he stated that ISKCON's Ratha Yatra, first held in 1967, has spread globally but unfortunately compromises the original Odia culture.
ISKCON's Ratha Yatra differs from traditional Jagannath Puri Ratha Yatra.
