Rural Living and Learning Experience Mela organised by XIM University's School of Rural Management
Bhubaneswar (26/01/2025): The Rural Living and Learning Experience (RLLE) Mela 2024-25 was organised and hosted by the School of Rural Management, XIM University, Bhubaneswar on 24-01-2025, showcasing the vibrancy and culture of the rural communities all across the country.
The event took off on the morning of January 24 with an inauguration ceremony by the respected Fr.S.Antony Raj,S.J and the Dean of School of Rural Management,Prof.Niraj Kumar.
It was further concluded with Prof.Niraj Kumar addressing all the participants and faculties involved and RLLE Coordinator Prof.Satyendra Nath Mishra acknowledging the entire set of arrangements.
An entire day featuring students showcasing their assigned states and culture associated with it,was filled with folk song and traditional dance performances.
Faculties, students from all the departments engaged themselves in conversations and discussions about the cultural and social aspects of the villages all across India.
Vibrant colors and attire of rural India was in its full glory and displayed as students enthusiastically represented their association with communities.
The afternoon session was enlightened further with a skit revolving around the social aspects of Rural India, featuring migration,distance education, governance.
The performance was filled with active participation from the students of Rural Management,all in grandeur and glory.
Traditional cuisines and handicrafts filled the air around the Mela as students actively engaged themselves in fruitful conversations and discussions about their discussions and observations during the program.
The day was concluded by the Dean of School of Rural Management,Prof.Niraj Kumar and RLLE Coordinator Satyendra Nath Mishra addressing the students and all the facilities involved for their active participation and guidance throughout the entire process of the RLLE program.
Over the entire day, RLLE Mela highlighted the underlying issues faced by rural communities in the form of climate change, monsoonal patterns and livelihoods, thus creating an inclusive platform for dialogue in the areas sustainability and progress of Rural India.
