Second AIIMS of Odisha to come up in Sambalpur: CM
Sambalpur (08/09/2024): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Sunday announced that the second AIIMS of the state will come up in Sambalpur.
The state government has already placed a demand in this regard before the Centre. Launching the CM Kisan Yojana on the occasion of Nuakhai at GM University auditorium in Sambalpur, the Chief Minister said, "The CM Kisan Yojana will benefit 46 lakh farmers, including landless ones, with Rs 925 crore transferred to their accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The CM rolled out the Krushi Vidya Nidhi Yojana for children of CM Kisan Yojana beneficiaries.
Scholarships will be provided to the beneficiaries under the scheme for higher technical education. He also inaugurated the Krushak Odisha Unified Portal of the Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment department. Under the CM Kisan Yojana, an amount of Rs 4000 will be given to farmers. The eligible beneficiaries will receive money in two equal installments before Rabi and Kharif seasons.
The state government has allocated a budget of Rs 1935 crore for the scheme.
