Severe cold wave grips Odisha

Bhubaneswar(20/01/2025): Odisha is experiencing a severe cold wave, with dense fog and biting cold reported from various parts of the state.
The temperature in Upper Barakhamuda in Mayurbhanj district's Similipal area dropped to 3 degrees Celsius, while it plummeted to 5 degrees in Chahala. Similarly, the minimum temperature in Phulbani and Daringbadi in Kandhamal district was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The temperature in G Udayagiri stood at 4 degrees Celsius. Other parts of the state also experienced cold temperatures, with Rourkela recording 7.2 degrees Celsius, Jharsuguda 7.7 degrees Celsius, Sonepur 9 degrees Celsius, Bhanjanipatna 9.9 degrees Celsius, Sundergarh 10.2 degrees Celsius, and Keonjhar 10.6 degrees Celsius.
