SNEH ORGANISES RAJA MAUJA WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM
Bhubaneswar (14/06/2024): Society for Nature Education and Health (SNEH) celebrated the Raja festival "Raja Mauja-2024" with great enthusiasm and pomp on Friday at its Conflict and Resolution Training Centre, situated in Mayfair Nagar, Salia Sahi slum, Bhubaneswar.
Around 300 slum children, teenagers, and women participated in the programme.
This program aimed to develop the latent talent and self-confidence of slum children, adolescents and women.
Odia Cine stars and many other eminent personalities comprising of social workers, academician and media participated in this occasion.
Competitions like Potato on Spoon, Musical Chair Game, Make Your Castle by Glasses, Swing Game, Rangoli and Mehndi competitions and various cultural programmes made the celebration more lively and enjoyable.
Particularly, the "Musical Chair" competition made the event more interesting.
In this competition, young women dressed up and performed a dance competition on a Raja Song.
The players who achieved success in various competitions were felicitated by SNEH with exciting prizes.
SNEH’s President Subarna Ghosh, has given her best wishes and dedicated this festival to the celebration of womanhood.
The entire programme was conducted by SNEH’s staff, volunteers, and youth cell volunteers of Salia Sahi slum.
This special program, part of SNEH’s “Promoting Youth-Driven Community for HIV Prevention” project, was supported by the Mercury Phoenix Trust .
