35th edition of PECUC Sisumela from November 14

Bhubaneswar (18/10/2024): People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC), a leading voluntary organisation of Odisha organising “Sisumela”- A special programme for children since 1990.
This year the 35th PECUC Sisumela will be organised from 14th to 20th November at Ekamrahat Amphitheatre in Bhubaneswar.
Details are to be found in the facebook page of PECUC “@PECUC” and at the website www.pecuc.org. On this occasion various competitions among children will also be held.
On 10th November, Drawing Competition (Class 2nd to XII) at Ekamrahat at 8 am & Song Competition (Class 2nd to X) at 11:30am; Elocution (Class – XI & XII) at 3:00 pm and ‘Odishi Dance’ (Class-II to VII) at 5:00 pm; on 15th at 4:00pm ‘Fancy dress completion’ for (nursery to Class-IV); on 16th at 4:00 pm Modern Dance Competition (Nursery to Class-IV); on 18th at 4:00 pm Rhymes (Nursery to Class-I); 19th at 4:00 pm ‘baby of the year’ for 6 months to 3 year old children (birth certificate and vaccination certificate mandatory).
The contestants are divided into Sisu, Sub Junior, Junior, Senior and Super Senior groups on the basis of their class. This year, the Children’s Dance Festival on “Patriotic Song” will be organised on 15th November at 7:30 PM, the Children’s Folk Dance Festival on 16th November at 7:30 PM and the Children’s Theatre Festival on 18th and 19th November at 7:00 PM respectively.
Pilanka Akshya, a special musical night on Akshya Mohanty’s song will be organised on his 22nd death anniversary, on 17th November.
PECUC also invites bio data for different Annual Awards.
This bio data or CV should be sent to pecuc.sisumela2024@gmail.com by November 1.
The awards that will be awarded to the children below 18 years are “Prananatha Pattnaik Memorial Award” for social work, “Dr.P.C.Dash Memorial Sisu Pratibha Award” for all round achievement, “Baji Rout Memorial Award” for bravery and courageous activities, “Sharat Pujari Memorial Awards” to child Artist for acting, “Ketaki Pattnaik Memorial Award” for securing highest mark in 5th class scholarship examination, “Aadaramani Baral Memorial Award” to a girl for strong leadership and bringing change & “Sushama Mohapatra Memorial Awards” to a girl for the outstanding contribution in the field of sports.
In this occasion other awards that will be given are “Shishusathi Award” for outstanding contribution for children, “Swarup Jena Memorial Award” for outstanding contribution in the field of Journalism, “Abani Baral Memorial Award” for teacher, “Dr.P.C.Dash Memorial Sisu Adhikar Surakhya Award” for working towards child protection and development and “Aradhana Nanda Memorial Award” to Women PRI for her outstanding work as people’s representative.
