4th Parichay Literary Festival, Bhubaneswar — A Celebration of India’s Multilingual Literary Spirit

Bhubaneswar, 11/10(oct)
The 4th edition of the Parichay Literary Festival (PLF), a long-cherished dream of Dr. Phani Mohanty, is set to be celebrated in Bhubaneswar on the 15th and 16th of November. This grand literary congregation stands as a tribute to the vibrant mosaic of India’s linguistic and poetic traditions, bringing together poets and writers from 27 Indian languages, including representatives from four tribal languages.

Organised by The Prayas, under the visionary leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rosalin Patsani Mishra and President Mr. Priyadarshi Mishra, the festival has become a symbol of cultural inclusivity and creative exchange.

This year’s PLF promises to be an unforgettable confluence of senior and young poets, representing the soul of multilingual India. In the multilingual poetry recitation sessions, poets will present their works in their respective mother tongues, creating a rare tapestry of sound, rhythm, and emotion that transcends boundaries.

The two-day celebration will also feature two important panel discussions, the release of translated books bridging one Indian language with another, and the special issue launch of the “Parichaya Quarterly” magazine. In addition, all invited writers will be felicitated, marking a gesture of respect toward their contribution to Indian literature. The evenings will come alive with cultural performances, reflecting the diverse artistic spirit that defines our nation.

The 4th Parichay Literary Festival is not just an event—it is a movement toward unity in diversity, celebrating the power of Indian literature to connect, inspire, and illuminate.
