Birthday of Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Celebrated in Basta: MLA Subasini Jena Offers 79 Lamps to Goddess Haraparvati
Balasore, 17/10 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The birthday of Naveen Patnaik — the visionary architect of modern Odisha, beloved leader of 4.5 crore Odias, former Chief Minister, and State President of the Biju Janata Dal — was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm. On this occasion, a grand event was organized yesterday at Langaleswar under the Basta constituency by the Biju Janata Dal.
In the evening, during the ceremony held at the Haraparvati Temple in Langaleswar, Basta MLA Subasini Jena attended as the chief guest. She prayed to Goddess Haraparvati for the long and healthy life of former Chief Minister Naveen Babu and offered 79 lamps (deepadan) as a symbolic gesture of reverence.
Speaking on the occasion, she highlighted how Naveen Patnaik’s good governance and far-sighted leadership have given Odisha a distinct identity on the national and global stage. From education and healthcare to women’s empowerment, his people-centric welfare schemes have become cornerstones of Odisha’s transformation, bringing lasting change to the lives of millions. She further wished that Lord Jagannath and Goddess Haraparvati bless him with long life and good health so that he continues to serve the people of Odisha.
