Cyclone Dana to make landfall near Bhitarkanika and Dhamra: IMD
Bhubaneswar (23/10/2024): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted that cyclone Dana is likely to make landfall somewhere between Bhitarkanika and Dhamra in Odisha. A severe cyclonic storm is likely to develop. It is around 520 km away from Paradip and 600 km away from Sagar Island. The maximum impact of the cyclone is likely to be felt on October 24 and early morning of October 25. The coastal parts of Odisha - Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Ganjam, Puri and Cuttack are likely to witness rainfall activities from tonight
