Kolkata (13/09/2024): The Centre for Corporate Governance Research and Training (CCGRT) Kolkata of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India organised a Half Day Symposium, jointly with Amity University, Kolkata, on topic: Impact of green economy and Environmental Sustainability on climate change and its Resilience: A Modern Approach Towards National Agenda “Vikshit Bharat” on Friday. CCGRT Kolkata being a premier research organisation and Amity University being at the forefront of Academic brilliance share a common objective of a developed nation (Vikishit Bharat).
This programme will not only create synergies between both the institutions but also bring to fore the importance of Environment Sustainability. CS Rupanjana De, Central Council Member of ICSI brought to fore the significance of the topic such that the message goes throughout the world on what we shall be leaving for the oncoming generations.
She said that such relevant topics are the need of the hour and the industry such expertise during recruitment. CS Sandip Kejriwal, Central Council Member of ICSI impressed on the significance of synergy between educational and research institutes by organising Joint Academic Research, Joint Workshops and Professional Development Programme for students and academicians of both the Institutes.
He also informed that India looks forward to more than a lac company secretaries and CS provides the platform to be there on the decision making table on the board. Dr.Sanjay Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, expressed his delight in being a part of this endeavour and talked about how this partnership between the two institutes will go a long way in leveraging opportunities arising out of cross-institutional relevance for the students and professionals at large .
