Ecosavers to launch month-long Swachha Mo Gaon campaign in December
Bhubaneswar(19/10/2024): Ecosavers Youth Network will launch a month-long "Swachha Mo Gaon" campaign in December was decided in the State Level Workshop of Ecosavers, organised at Gita Gobinda Sadan, Bhubaneswar.
People’s Cultural Centre (PECUC) in collaboration with AEIN organized this workshop on environment protection.
Inaugurating this workshop, Ranjan Kumar Mohanty, Secretary, PECUC, appreciated various innovative works like preparation of bird nest, building check dam to manage the water flow, waste management, plantation etc.undertaken by Ecosavers Youth Network members for the protection of environment.
He further said the youth are the catalyst for bringing a new dawn, so they should be well equipped and prepared to take such tremendous responsibility on their shoulder.
Anuradha Mohanty, Executive Director of PECUC gave the welcome address and shared the purpose of this workshop.
Joining this workshop Pratima Nalini Pati, President, Innerwheel Club, Bhubaneswar appreciated the work of youth group and said youth leadership is very crucial for building a sustainable and developed future.
Prof.Jaya Krushna Panigrahi, Secretary, State Environment Society spoke about climate change, environmental protection and the role of youth and also shared some useful tips and strategies for adopting sustainable practices in everyday life such as reducing waste, conserving energy, planting trees, adopting sustainable eating habits, etc.
More than 50 nos of youths from different districts of Odisha participated in this workshop.
The youth leaders presented their action-taken reports and also prepared a road map for future courses of action in this workshop.
