Firecrackers explosion during Chandan Jatra: Prime accused arrested

Puri(By Abhishek Mohanty): The prime accused in the firecracker explosion that took place during Chandan Jatra in Puri has been arrested. 

The accused identified as Chandan Bhoi was injured in the explosion. He was undergoing treatment. After recovering, Chandan was arrested by the Kumbharpada police. 

There are several cases pending against Chandan. 

Last year, the explosion occurred during a fireworks display at the Narendra Pushkarini, a holy tank situated near Puri Srimandir. The explosion claimed the lives of 13 people and left several others injured.
