Frozit becomes one of the key attractions of Cuttack Baliyatra 2024
Cuttack (16/11/2024): The much-awaited Cuttack Balijatra 2024 has commence on the picturesque banks of the Mahanadi River.
The annual cultural fair, which celebrates Odisha's rich maritime history and heritage was grandly inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.
The event like every year promises to captivate visitors with a unique blend of traditional crafts, cultural performances, and authentic local cuisine, drawing in locals and tourists alike. The festival holds special significance as it commemorates the age-old trade voyages of the Sadhabas (ancient Odia mariners) who sailed to Southeast Asian countries like Bali, Sumatra, and Java centuries ago.
The name "Balijatra" itself translates to "Voyage to Bali," symbolizing the deep-rooted maritime legacy of the region.
This week-long event has grown into one of the largest open-air fairs in Odisha, attracting millions of visitors each year. This year's edition of Baliyatra is set to be a sensory delight, with hundreds of stalls showcasing handcrafted items, textiles, and traditional artifacts. Just like the age old traditions, once again Frozit, which became one of the key attractions of Baliyatra 2024.
The stall was inaugurated by Sangita Sahoo, (Director of Ruchi Foodline) on the Lower Baliyatra Ground.
Frozit, a prominent name in the frozen food sector from Odisha, is known for blending tradition with innovation.
Their stall will offer a unique taste of popular like Odia delicacies, bakery items, snacks and much more allowing festival-goers to enjoy hygienic and quality food during their visit. Director and Founder Rashmi Sahoo expressed, "Balijatra is an essential part of Odisha's heritage, and just like every year, I hope people from near and far will once again visit our stall, have hygiene and delicious food and keep showering their love for our wide range of products." Baliyatra 2024 is more than just a fair—it’s a journey through Odisha’s history, celebrating its spirit of adventure, culture, and creativity.
As the festivities unfold, visitors are invited to take part in this celebration of Odisha’s past and present, and join Frozit Food Stall to enjoy a flavourful fest with wide range of delicacies like puffs, spring rolls, biryani, coffee, refreshing beverages and much more in a hygienic environment, she added .
