Kalabaisakhi storm wreaks havoc in Odisha
Badamba/Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): A jatra pandal collapsed into pieces under the impact of a Kalbaisakhi storm in several parts of Odisha on Tuesday. The festival, scheduled to begin today at the playground of Jodumun School Ground in Narsinghpur, Cuttack district, was disrupted.
Two people have sustained minor injuries.
In Bhubaneswar, heavy rain and strong winds in various areas have caused trees to fall, disrupting electricity and traffic services.
Other districts including Puri, Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur have also experienced intermittent heavy rainfall.
