National Awarded Visual Artist Dr.Abdul Salam Khan honored with Kalachitra Golden Padma Award

Bhubaneswar (13/03/2025): National award-winning Visual Artist, Author & Academician Dr.Abdul Salam Khan was honored with the Kalachitra Golden Padma Award by the hand of Shree N.China Rajappa Ex Deputy Chief Minister & Home Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in the auspicious presence of Shree Melta Ramana Babu and Shree Korasala Sitarama Swamy, founder president of Konaseema Chitrakala Parishad, Amlapuram, Andra Pradesh, India.

Konaseema Chitrakal Parishad established the holy river bank of Godavari in 1989 at the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, a picturesque region known for its lush greenery, serene backwaters, and rich cultural heritage.

Each year the organization conducted an international art competition cum exhibition but due to Pandemic Covid-19 across the globe faces many pashes of lockdown and the day today routine activity will be sacrifices, gathering of masses is banned as a result people are traumatize and depressed.

In this hard time, the founder president Shree Korasala Sitarama Swamy did not stop; he dreamed a big and come with a project to celebrate mega art competition cum exhibition named “Chitrabhramomahotssava” physically in 2025.

In this regard, Parishad considers the last 5 five-year joint awardee lists and calls the best hundred artists across the nation for the felicitation in art grant event.

In this series of five international art competition cum exhibition Dr.Abdul Salam Khan won its fair amount of glory by secure position in 30th, 31st, 33rd and 34th competitions respectively as a result the parishad selected Dr.

Khan name in best hundred artist list and prepared a beautiful multicolored book title “Our Artist Born to Excell”.

The concept and creation of Dr.Khan's painting not only justified the query of the jury but also made his art a center of attraction among the spectators.

This prestigious international award is credited for one of his most recent semi-realistic seascape paintings titled “The Horizon”.

The visual appeal of this painting truly reflects the spirit of Godavari, the purity of color peeking from behind the dark Prussian could over the calm and sleeping sea.

The dramatic fusion of the foreground and Sky creates a soft and blurry horizon that gives an impression bigger than the picture.

The sculpting layer of soft bluish tones mesmerizes the viewers’ attention and takes them to nature’s lap.

The thick deposit of white dabs not only defends the maturity of Dr.Khan’s application and handling but creates a linear perspective that creates an interest in the painting.
