Odisha Cabinet okays six key proposals

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday approved six important proposals.
As per decision, an amount of Rs 108 crore will be spent for construction of Baitarani Left & Right Bank Canal. Besides, Rs 2,398 crore will be spent for Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) scheme for the next five years.
The qualification of an Anganwadi Supervisor has been updated from Matriculation to bachelor's degree.
According to the information shared by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, the mega irrigation project in Anandpur of Keonjhar district received approval for Rs 108 crore.
A proposal for creation of 24 posts in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Department has been approved by the Cabinet.
This apart, a proposal for amendment to the Excise Rules 2017 has also received the Cabinet nod.
