Art exhibition titled Beauty Beyond Boundaries inaugurated
Bhubaneswar (01/02/2025): An exhibition of art titled “Beauty Beyond Boundaries” was inaugurated and the book “Expressing & Experimenting with Palm Leaf Art” was launched at Buddha Art Gallery in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
Step into the “Beauty Beyond Boundaries” journey, where every brush stroke narrates stories of the aesthetic beauty of landscapes, cultures, people, and their emotions from different geographic locations.
The art exhibition, inaugurated on February 1, 2025, depicts the divine, blissful traditional temple culture of India, the simple & untouched village life of Odisha, the mesmerising beauty of the natural sea landscape, the hustle & bustle of city life, the architectural features of the dynamic urban environment of United Kingdom, the artworks capture the emotions of people and environment of these places using vibrant colours of different medium and surfaces. Renowned Padmashree awardee artist Binod Maharana, Dr B.M Faruque, former director, GSI & artist and other distinguished guests from the art, culture and other fields were there to grace the ceremony. The new book “ Expressing & Experimenting with Palm Leaf Art” discovers the unique ancient technique and the history of palm leaf etching art by exploring traditional tools with the guided process of learning the palm leaf etching art form. This book is for enthusiastic amateurs and advanced learners in the creative line. Artist Dr.Chinmayi Nath is a professional self-taught artist based in Essex, United Kingdom, who has contributed to many fields. She has completed her PhD in Geology from Utkal University, Odisha and a Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design from the University of the Arts London, UK. Chinmayi worked as a Research Assistant, Business Data Analyst, Artist, Art tutor (conducting art workshops and classes in virtual and physical art sessions for beginners and advanced learners), Jewellery designer, and Author, and involved herself in multiple community works. In 2014, she conducted a solo art exhibition, “Golden Miles, a Mystic Journey through Odisha,” in Jayadev Bhavan, Bhubaneswar. Chinmayi was nominated as “Best Acrylic Artist of the Year 2018” by the Southend Art Club, Essex, UK, for her painting “Giles Family.” She was also selected to participate in Landscape Artist of the Year 2022 under the wild card competition category in Sky Arts, UK. She is the author of an art book entitled “Creative Art—A Distinct Approach to Drawing and Painting.” Her artworks have been published in the International Journal of Geriatric Care and Research (JGRC) and Srujan: The Creativity Journal .
