Odisha Revenue Employees' Association calls off strike

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): The strike by the Odisha Revenue Employees' Association has been called off after 15 days. The employees resumed work on Tuesday.
They had launched the agitation over demands including health insurance, revision of basic pay and service related benefits.
After getting assurances from the Odisha government, the association decided to withdraw the agitation.
On Monday, the association had a discussion with the Chief Secretary seeking fulfilment of their 10-point charter of demands. Following the state government's assurance to look into their demands, the decision was made to call off the strike.
The decision was also influenced by the ongoing flood situation and upcoming festivals in the state.
