Odisha's Satya Sutar pays rich tribute to Netaji in Japan
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): On the occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, observed as Parakram Diwas, Odia youth Satya Sutar paid a grand tribute to the legendary freedom fighter in Tokyo, Japan.
Sutar offered floral tributes at the statue of Netaji located at the Renkōji Temple in Tokyo. Paying homage, he said the place stands as a living symbol of India’s pride, sacrifice, and struggle for independence.
He highlighted Netaji’s historic role in forming the Azad Hind Government, strengthening the Indian National Army, and leading India’s fight against colonial rule from Japanese soil.
Sutar also urged citizens to work collectively towards building the India envisioned by Netaji.
Sutar has been commemorating Netaji’s legacy globally every year on Netaji Jayanti.
As the first Odia to undertake this initiative, he has previously paid tributes in Saigon, Vietnam (2022), Bangkok, Thailand (2023), Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (2024), and Moirang in Imphal, Manipur (2025).
