OMFED milk prices becomes costlier

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation (OMFED) has increased the prices of its milk variants across the state.
The premium and toned milk will now cost Rs 2 more per litre. Similarly, the price of Gold milk has been hiked by Rs 4 per litre.

As per government sources, farmers will now receive Rs 3 more per litre of milk they supply. Out of this Rs 2 will be subsidised by the government.

On June 1, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had announced a Rs 3 per litre hike in OMFED milk price.
The announcement was made during the celebration of World Milk  Day 2025 at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
The Chief Minister had also declared an accidental death assistance of Rs 1 lakh for OMFED-affiliated dairy farmers.
