PM Modi performs Yoga alongside 3 lakh participants

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged the citizens to adopt healthier lifestyles.

The Prime Minister led the International Yoga Day celebrations at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and said that combating obesity is need of the hour. He said, "We need to reduce 10 percent oil consumption in our diets."

Extending his greetings to the people across the world on the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Prime Minister said, "Today, the entire world is performing Yoga. Yoga is for everyone, beyond age and boundaries. Crores of people have adopted Yoga in all corners of the world."
The PM performed Yoga alongside 3 lakh participants.

The event saw the participation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who joined the Yoga session.

President Droupadi Murmu joined thousands of citizens across the country in performing Yoga at Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

Similarly, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Shiv Sena leaders Shrikant Shinde and Shaina NC performed Yoga at Marine Drive in Mumbai.
