PM Modi highlights remarkable achievements in agriculture sector, foodgrain production during Mann Ki Baat address
New Delhi(By Abhishek Mohanty): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the 128th edition of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, highlighted India’s remarkable achievements in the agriculture sector.
Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister announced that India has created a historic milestone by producing 357 million tonnes of foodgrains, marking an increase of 100 million tonnes compared to a decade ago.
“India has achieved significant progress in agriculture. This record production reflects the hard work of our farmers and advancements in farming practices,” he said.
PM Modi also noted that the country has set new records in honey production, underscoring that the growing beekeeping sector has played a key role in boosting farmers’ incomes.
Reflecting on the importance of November, the Prime Minister said the month has been marked by several significant national events and achievements.
He further praised India’s performance in sports, particularly congratulating the Indian women's cricket team for their efforts in the ICC Women’s World Cup. He also lauded the country's athletes for winning 20 medals at the Deaf Olympics held in Tokyo.
