SIM Box seized in Bhubaneswar; two arrested

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): A SIM box was seized from the Chandrasekharpur police station area of Bhubaneswar on Monday. The Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police conducted a raid and arrested two persons in connection with the case.

According to police sources, the two accused are residents of Kerala and had procured SIM cards from Assam. 

Authorities said the SIM box was being used to convert international calls into local calls, leading to significant revenue losses and posing a serious threat to national security.

Earlier, similar SIM boxes were recovered from Sundarpada area in the city.
