Ratna Bhandar counting to begin on March 25

Puri (By Abhishek Mohanty):
The counting of the Ratna Bhandar of Puri Shree Jagannath Temple is scheduled to begin on March 25, Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhi announced after a meeting of the temple management committee on Monday. The process will take place from 12:12 PM to 1:45 PM.
During the counting, devotees will be allowed only outer darshan. The counting will not be held on Saturdays and Sundays, and may also be paused on other days. The exact completion date has not been confirmed.
In 1978, a similar counting took 72 days. The process will be conducted according to the Odisha Government’s Standard Operating Procedure (S.O.P.). Every day, the treasury keys will be taken under strict supervision, ensuring full transparency.
Officials noted that the duration of counting may vary each day, with longer hours expected on active counting days.
