Reading and discussion of 14th Chapter of Skanda Purana held by Shree Jagannath Pancharatra Prachar Sansthan

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): On the occasion of the first Sunday of the month, the Shree Jagannath Pancharatra Prachar Samiti organised a reading and discussion session of the fourteenth chapter of the Skanda Purana at the Radha Ballav Math, near Ravi Talkies in Bhubaneswar. 

The programme was coordinated under the guidance of the revered Mahant Ram Krishnadas Maharaj, with Samiti Secretary Prabhakar Mallik and Vice-President Baikuntha Mohapatra.

The programme began with devotional bhajans, following which the scriptural reading commenced.

The theme of the day focused on Goddess Lakshmi describing the glory of Shreekhetra (the holy abode of Lord Jagannath) to Yamaraj, and explaining that Yamaraj holds no authority or jurisdiction in this sacred dham.

The programme was attended by Shree Jagannath culture promoter Dr. Narayan Mohapatra, Trilochan Nayak, Professor Ramchandra Mishra, Bansidhar Nayak, Bijay Panda, Gauranga Nayak, Srinibas Rao, Pushpalata Pradhan, and others, who actively participated in the discussion.

The event concluded with a sankirtan session, after which all participants partook of the prasad.
