Refrain from holding untimely Rath Yatra: Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Prachar Sansthan to ISKCON

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty ): The ISKCON organisation is planning to conduct unauthorized Rath Yatra events in various cities worldwide, despite concerns raised by the Gajapati Maharaja and Puri Srimandir administration.

ISKCON announced plans to hold Rath Yatra events in multiple cities, including England, Baltimore, Halifax, Leicester, London, and Belfast.

The Gajapati Maharaja and Puri Srimandir administration have expressed concerns about ISKCON's untimely Rath Yatra events, citing deviations from traditional practice.

The Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Prachar Sansthan has expressed grave concern over such decision and stated that the Rath Yatra in Puri is a centuries-old tradition, and ISKCON's actions are seen as a deviation from the original cultural and spiritual significance of the festival.

The Sansathan has appealed to ISKCON to respect the traditional practices and cultural significance of the Rath Yatra festival.

The ISKCON has planned to conduct Rath Yatra in England on May 18, in Baltimore on May 31, Citadel Halifax on June 7, in  Hollywood Park on June 15, in Leicester on June 22, in  Lund on July 5, in Belfast on July 26 and in  Kirkcudbright on August 2.
