Sensitization programme on Odia Language As Teaching aid in Technical Education held

A sensitization programme on “Odia Language : A Teaching aid in Technical Education” was conducted at College of IT & Management Education (CIME), Bhubaneswar.
The Hon’ble Minister, SDTE, Sri Sampad Chandra Swain graced the occasion as Chief Guest and narrated about the importance of odia language as a medium of knowledge acquiring and content understanding.
Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath, Vice Chancellor, BPUT hosted the programme and explained how BPUT is extending all supports in terms of distribution of odia translated technical books among the colleges and inviting translators and reviewers for the second year books of B.Tech programmes.
Among others Prof. Omkar Nath Mohanty, Former Vice Chancellor, BPUT and Chairman, Project Monitoring Committee of IOSR in his speech explained how odia’s were skillful in ancient days, how the technology of odisha was at highest level across the globe.
Vice Chancellor, OUTR, Dr. B. B. Biswal in his speech narrated how odia language can be used for understanding the Engineering contents and how to make the odia students skilful.
Additional Secretary to Government, SDTE Department, Government of Odisha, Sri Tapan Kumar Satapathy praised the initiatives of IOSR.
In the meeting, BPUT News Vol-II was launched by the Hon’ble Minister and other dignitaries on the dias.
Smt. Nishi Poonam Minz, Registrar, BPUT proposed the vote of thanks to the dignitaries and august gathering.
This programme was followed by launching of curriculum framework as per NEP-2020 by Vice Chancellor, BPUT and Vice Chancellor, OUTR.
