FINXPO ORGANISED AT XIM UNIVERSITY
Bhubaneswar (16/10/2023): The School of Commerce, XIM University (New Campus), Odisha in association with Career Advisory Services, of the School of Commerce, successfully organised the FinXpo: Business Conclave on the Theme “Financial Horizons: Navigating a New Era” on Monday.
The event commenced with a welcome and introductory address by Prof.P.K.Mohanty, Dean, School of Commerce, XIM University.
The event started on the note, “Finance is not merely about dollars and cents, it’s the art of shaping possibilities.” The discussions in Panel 1 included equity being the best asset class, the volatility of the market, and how our economy works in a cycle.
The discussion ranged from equity investments to venture capitalists and touched on a cycle of the economy.
The next panellist shed some light on all the career aspects the students of Business Finance are looking at, along with the skill sets required to excel in their jobs.
Panel 2 consisted of the second round of discussions providing insight into infrastructure financing.
This was followed by the overview of the frontier of finance with an emphasis on amplification of risks.
The entire event was coordinated by the faculty and student coordinators.
XIM University was honoured to host the speakers and topics for individual and panel discussions at the event. Topics covered were Insides of Long-Term Equity Investments, Start-up Ecosystems and role of Venture Capitals in Start-up, Demystifying Careers in Finance, Infrastructure Finance and Risk Management and Guided trip to new Frontier of Finance. Speakers were Sanjeev Panda, Vice President, Tamohara Investment Managers; Pranav Dedhia, Associate Director, Radison Consulting LLP; Vishal Jalan, Investment Specialist, JP Morgan Chase & Co;Sapna Mohata, Senior Vice President, Aseem Infrastructure Finance; Pramod Panda, Independent Director, Maanaveeya Development & Finance Private Ltd.
