Student Residence of XIM University inaugurated by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
Bhubaneswar (07/03/2025): The new Student Residence of XIM University at its Old Campus in Bhubaneswar inaugurated by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday. XIM University was honoured to host Suryabanshi Suraj, Minister of Higher Education, Government of Odisha, along with Rajya Sabha Members Dr.Sasmit Patra and V Muraleedharan and as well as Dusmanta Kumar Swain, and Raghunath Jagadala, Members of Legislative Assembly, Odisha.
The event also saw the presence of key university leaders, including Vice Chancellor Fr.Antony R.Uvari, S.J.
Fr.S.Antony Raj, S.J., Registrar and other esteemed members of the bourd and administration. The newly inaugurated 16-storied Student Residence is a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the student's living experience.
With a total built-up area of 28,689 square meters and a project cost of Rs.132 crones.
this expansive residence is equipped with top-tier amenities aimed at fostering academic excellence, recreation, and well-being.
Key features of the Student Residence include approximately 1.000 single rooms with essential facilities for comfortable living, along with sports, fitness, and activity areas such as food courts, a gym, and student association rooms.
It also offers dining, healthcare, and essential services. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the XIMB on the addition of a significant facility in their pursuit of knowledge.
The Union Minister said, "XIMB has an illustrious legacy.
I am confident that the Student Residence will further add to the enduring legacy of the institute.
Bhubaneswar, today, stands as a prominent centre of learning hosting more than 10 prestigious academic institutions, including IIT, IIM and AIIMS.
Home to a sizeable chunk of India's talent, Bhubaneswar is a permanent Kumbh of knowledge.
The XIMB should expand their horizons and also engage in social research for measuring penetration and impact of welfare schemes, identifying the emerging challenges, inspiring new enthusiasm and for bringing more glory to the state and the country." Speaking on the occasion, Fr.Antony R.
