Whispers of Loneliness

Sanjay Bhatt

Sadness arrives, a thorn on the road I tread,
A quiet ache in the heart, where joy has fled.
Amidst the crowd, where voices blend and sway,
I walk in solitude, as if lost in the day.

Faces surround me, yet none truly see,
The silent tears, the pain that’s me.
Their laughter rings, but it’s hollow to my ears,
For my heart is weighed down by unseen fears.

Hands reach out, but they never touch the soul,
Their warmth fades, leaving behind a cold hole.
In the bustle of life, I stand on my own,
A stranger in a world that’s never been home.

The path is long, the journey feels so grim,
A solitary figure on a road that’s dim.
Yet I carry on, through the thorn and the strife,
For this is the walk, the lonely walk of life.
