77th Capital Foundation Day celebrated

Bhubaneswar(13/04/2025): The 77th Capital Foundation Day celebrations commenced with the garlanding of the Foundation Stone, followed by the hoisting of the Capital Day Celebration flag, ceremonial parade and photo exhibition at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly Surama Padhy hoisted the Capital Day Celebration Flag The occasion was graced by the presence of MLAs from Central and North constituencies, Mayor of Bhubaneswar, Deputy Mayor, Police Commissioner, BMC Commissioner, VC BDA, DM and Collector Khordha, along with the President, Vice President, and General Secretary of the Capital Day Celebration Committee.

Chairpersons of Standing Committees, Corporators, officials from various departments and offices, esteemed guests, and members of the public also joined in the celebration, making it a grand and memorable event. On the occasion, Waste to Art sculptures were inaugurated at BMC Head Office by the Mayor in the presence of Deputy Mayor, BMC Commissioner, Additional Commissioners, Standing Committee Chairperson, Corporators, Assistant Commissioner, and BMC Swachha Warriors.

The artefacts depict the dedicated work of the Swachha Warriors to keep the city clean.
