Anganwadi workers stage protest in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(16/12/2024): Thousands of Anganwadi workers and helpers staged a massive protest at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar, demanding government employee status and other benefits.

The protesters are demanding government employee status for Anganwadi workers and helpers.

Other demands include monthly assistance of Rs 26,000 for Anganwadi workers, monthly and assistance of Rs 13,000 for Anganwadi helpers. The protesters threatened to intensify their agitation if their demands are not met.
