Bhubaneswar welcomes Amit Rohidas
Bhubaneswar (16/08/2024): Amit Rohidas, the first Odia player to win a medal at the Olympics, returned to Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The Indian hockey team won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. He was extended a rousing welcome at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here by the officials of Sports department. Amit expressed his gratefulness to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi for announcing Rs 4 crore for him and taking proactive steps to promote sports and sportspersons in the state. Amit Rohidas is an Indian field hockey player who has represented India in various international tournaments, including the Olympics.
He hails from Odisha and has made significant contributions to Indian hockey.
