ISRO launches EOS-08 Earth Observation Satellite
Bhubaneswar (16/08/2024): The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday launched the third and final developmental flight of Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV)-D3/EOS-08 mission from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The main objectives of the ISRO are to demonstrate the reliable performance of the SSLV vehicle systems, successfully place the EOS-08 satellite and SR-0 DEMOSAT into a 475 km circular orbit. The mission aims to test payload instruments that are compatible with the micro satellite bus and incorporate new technologies for future satellites.
The EOS-08 incorporates X-band data transmission with pulse shaping and Frequency Compensated Modulation (FCM).
It's battery management system uses SSTCR-based charging and bus regulation.
