DEEP DEPRESSION LIKELY TO INTENSIFY INTO CYCLONIC STORM; NO IMPACT ON ODISHA
Bhubaneswar (16/11/2023): The deep depression over Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm tomorrow (November 17). According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) Scientist Uma Shankar Das, the cyclonic storm will have no impact on Odisha. The deep depression is likely to continue to move north-northeastwards and intensify further into a cyclonic storm and cross Bangladesh coast between Mongla and Khepupara around the morning of November 18.
There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts of Odisha.
The neighbouring districts are also likely to receive rainfall.
