District-Level Senior Citizens’ Workshop Held in Balasore

Balasore | 04/06 | (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A district-level workshop for senior citizens was organized in the conference hall of the Balasore District Collector’s office.
The workshop was graced by Sudhakar Nayak, Additional District Magistrate (General), as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests included Niranjan Behera, Additional Superintendent of Police; Smt. Pratibha Behera, District Social Security Officer; Dr. Kishore Kumar Acharya, Chief District Medical Officer; Priyadarshi Rajesh, District Information and Public Relations Officer; Purnachandra Nayak, District Sports Officer; S.S. Das, Deputy Collector (Revenue); and the President, Secretary, and Advisors of the Senior Citizens' Association, who were also present on the dais.
Smt. Pratibha Behera introduced the guests and elaborated on the objectives of the workshop. During the session, ASP Niranjan Behera and the President, Secretary, and Advisors of the Senior Citizens’ Association shared their experiences and emphasized the essential role of senior citizens in society.
Chief Guest Sudhakar Nayak highlighted various government schemes aimed at the welfare of senior citizens. He encouraged attendees to make the best use of these opportunities and raised awareness about their benefits.
The event was successfully coordinated with the assistance of officials from the District Social Security Department and members of various volunteer organizations.
