DEATH TOLL DUE TO SUSPECTED HEATSTROKE IN SUNDARGARH GOES UP TO 16

Rourkela (31/05/2024): Two more persons died in Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) in Sundargarh district on Friday.

With this, the number of deaths due to suspected heatstroke in the district stands at 16. The death toll due to suspected heatstroke increased to 12 in the hospital with a total of 16 deaths in the district so far. While 12 people had died a day back, two more persons breathed their last during treatment at RGH last night.

With this, Rourkela has witnessed 10 deaths, Jharsuguda 2 and Sundargarh 4, taking the total number of deaths in the district to 16 Another 23 patients are currently undergoing treatment at RGH.
