Durga Puja committees in Cuttack will to play musical instruments up to maximum of 65 decibels

Cuttack(By Abhishek Mohanty): In preparation for the upcoming Dussehra festival, a peace committee meeting was held in Cuttack, chaired by District Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb on Sunday.
The meeting placed emphasis on ensuring smooth and peaceful celebrations during the Durga Puja immersion processions.
As per decision, Durga Puja committees will be allowed to play musical instruments only up to a maximum of 65 decibels to control noise pollution.

The use of laser light fire-guns has also been restricted.
To avoid traffic congestion, no Puja committee will be permitted to erect decorative gates that block roads. Additionally, the administration has introduced a single-window clearance system to streamline permissions and facilitate better coordination among Puja committees.
These measures aim to maintain law and order, promote communal harmony, and ensure a safe festive environment for all citizens.
