Emergency Meeting Held in Balasore for Mock Drill Preparations

Balasore, 07/05 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty) – An emergency meeting was held at the residential office of the Balasore District Collector to prepare for an upcoming mock drill exercise. The meeting took place in the joint presence of District Collector Suryabanshi Mayur Vikas and Superintendent of Police Raj Prasad.
It was decided during the meeting that the mock drill would be conducted in the Balasore town area at 4:00 PM. To inform the public in advance, awareness campaigns will be carried out through public announcement systems on Wednesday morning. A one-minute siren will be sounded at 4:00 PM to mark the beginning of the drill, and another one-minute siren at 4:30 PM will signify its conclusion.
Nine key locations in the town have been identified for the siren alerts: Cinema Chhak, Police Line, Vivekananda Marg, Motiganj Market, Fandi Chhak, Town Police Station, Bhaskar Ganj, Bus Stand, and ITI Chhak. Siren systems will be installed in these areas.
In addition, both the District Collector and the Superintendent of Police emphasized the need for complete halting of operations in business establishments, educational institutions, banking services, and all public movements on roads during the drill.
The meeting was also attended by Additional District Collector Hemanta Kumar Singh, Sub-Collector Prathamesh Arvind Raj Shirke, and officials from various departments.
