Empowering Communities: XIM University’s NSS Cell hosts week-long village camp in Niranjanpur
Bhubaneswar(16/12/2024): The NSS Unit 1 joined forces with Unit 7 organized a week-long (December 9 to 14) village camp at the village of Niranjanpur under Jatni tehsil in Khordha district. On the first day, NSS members visited the village to ensure the villagers were comfortable participating and to assess their needs.
They assessed the living conditions and documented what the people needed. On the second day, volunteers visited Niranjanpur Primary School and conducted an educational and skill development workshop where the students were provided with the required art supplies for hand painting to showcase their creativity.
The volunteers helped them with their works.
The third day was dedicated to a clean-up drive, with NSS volunteers working together to clean the village.
Equipped with brooms, garbage bags, gloves, and masks, the volunteers were divided into smaller groups and embarked on cleaning the village roads, diligently collecting litter and depositing it into the provided garbage bags.
The collected garbage was responsibly disposed of at the designated dump yard to prevent future issues for the villagers.

This camp was held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
and cases including property disputes and other concerns, were actively brought up by the villagers.
The day offered valuable interactions between the villagers and the legal professionals. This marked the end of the week-long village camp with enriching experiences for both, the volunteers as well as the villagers.
The camp, through social initiatives, educational programs, and hands-on activities, fostered rural development.
NSS volunteers enhanced the village and strengthened ties between the university and the community, reflecting XIM University’s commitment to social responsibility.
