FIRST INTERACTIVE SESSION OF NSS CO-UNIT AND NSS VOLUNTEERS ORGANISED AT DM SCHOOL
Bhubaneswar (05/12/2023): Demonstration Multipurpose (DM) School, RIE, Bhubaneswar organised first interactive session of NSS Co-Unit and NSS Volunteers on December 1, 2023.
The programme was organised in the Activity Hall of the school.
All the NSS Volunteers enthusiastically participated in this interactive session.
Dr.Biswa Mohana Jena, OES-1, Programme Coordinator, NSS Bureau, CHSE, Government of Odisha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was warmly received by the Programme Officer, Mohd.Ghulam Rahbar.
Thereafter Dr.Jena was presented with a bouquet, a shawl and a memento by the Head Master Akhileshwar Mishra.
The Programme Officer presented a brief introduction of the Chief Guest which was followed by welcome address by the Head Master.
The Chief Guest addressed the volunteers and provided them invaluable guidance and direction as well as highlighted myriad benefits of being an NSS volunteer.
The volunteers listened to his sagacious words with rapt attention.
The Chief Guest also answered queries of the volunteers.
He gave away the certificates to those volunteers who had participated in the State Level Function on November 14, 2023 on the occasion of Cooperative Week Celebration organised by Cooperation Department and sponsored by the Higher Education Department (State NSS Cell) as well.
Earlier in the morning, he had also inaugurated the school NSS Office. The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Programme Officer. Since the occasion coincided with the World AIDS Day, the World AIDS Day Awareness Rally was also taken out under his guidance.
