Five arrested for reckless driving on Janpath

Bhubaneswar (16/09/2024): The Commissionerate Police on Monday arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in reckless driving on Janpath in Bhubaneswar. A video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the video, the accused were seen driving two cars with high speed and overtaking other vehicles on the busy road, The drivers of the SUVs caused severe road blockades from Rupali Square to Ram Mandir road and even rode the vehicles on pavements, putting the lives of other vehicle users and pedestrians at risk. Police took cognizance of the matter immediately and registered a suo moto case. Investigating the incident, the police nabbed five occupants of the vehicles.
